The Architecture and Urbanism 5-year course was anything but easy. I worked a 9-to-5 job every day and went to class every evening—usually from 6 to 11 PM. I was constantly exhausted and, honestly, I thought about quitting more than once. Not because I didn’t enjoy what I was learning, but because I truly didn’t think I could keep up.

My GPA was… well, let’s just say it wasn’t impressive. I often failed to complete my assignments, and over time, I began skipping classes. I wasn’t the most responsible version of myself back then. I got swept up in the small joys of life, like late nights at Rosas—a local bar area where I’d hang out with friends.

We’d eat pastel stuffed with ham and cheese and sip overly sweet tea—literally half a cup of sugar with a splash of tea. Definitely not the healthiest choice, but it was comforting. The campus was pretty isolated, nestled near a closed-off park with no decent food options nearby. Rosas became our go-to spot.

Looking back, it was a chaotic mix of burnout, self-doubt, and greasy snacks… but also a time filled with laughter, friendship, and sheer persistence. Somehow, I kept going.
